About me
Rohit Khanna has been involved in the metrology industry for over 30 years helping advance 3D measurement software, optical inspection hardware, automated quality systems and augmented reality processes. As Founder of 3D Infotech, he has led the development of Universal Metrology Automation (UMA) platform for deploying, high-accuracy 3D scanning workflows in robotic inspection cells integrating structured light, photogrammetry, feature extraction and AI-driven visual defect detection. With a background in Computer Engineering (UM-Ann Arbor) and MBA (UC-Irvine) and decades of hands-on engineering experience, Mr. Khanna combines deep technical expertise with business leadership. His work continues to influence how global manufacturers approach quality, automation, and digital transformation, making him a recognized voice in the advancement of intelligent, measurement-driven production systems. His work focuses on embedding metrology as a closed-loop control layer in manufacturing, enabling adaptive, model-based inspection and autonomous part localization for high-mix production. His participation at the NVIDIA GTC AI Conference, showcased Physical AI and adaptive production to help define how manufacturers integrate robotics, AI, and metrology into unified, autonomous workflows.Mr. Khanna’s contributions span algorithm design, uncertainty reduction, cell design, sensor fusion, and the practical deployment of metrology automation across aerospace, automotive, and precision-manufacturing environments. His strategic vision has positioned 3D Infotech as a key contributor to the next era of smart manufacturing
